Why did you choose to do an apprenticeship? 

I chose to do an apprenticeship so that I could get valuable, on-the-job experience whilst also getting paid! 

What you do in a typical day/week? 

A typical day for me consists of supporting my team as they go into customers' homes to resolve any joinery-related problems that have been reported. I get the opportunity to learn while watching experienced joiners firsthand. 

What do you enjoy most about your apprenticeship? 

I enjoy taking in all the new things I'm being shown and having a go at it myself with the support of a professional. 

What skills have you developed so far during your apprenticeship? 

So far, I have developed a basic understanding of how to use new pieces of equipment and have also learned the importance of making a difference to our customers and their lives.  

Why did you choose Halton Housing? 

I chose Halton Housing because I felt it was the best place to learn and build my career. The organisation as a whole came across as very welcoming from their website and I knew it would be a perfect fit for me. 

What would you say to someone considering applying for an apprenticeship? 

Definitely go for it - apprenticeships are a great pathway to a career!
