Two new Board members appointed
Halton Housing has boosted its Board with the appointment of two highly experienced finance professionals.
Following the ‘Govern Our Future’ recruitment campaign earlier this year, which attracted several strong candidates, Halton Housing will welcome Jennifer Halliday and Leigh Wylie to its board in September.
Jennifer Halliday is currently Finance Director for CF Fertilisers in the UK, a subsidiary of a large public North American manufacturer of nitrogen-based products.
Jennifer has worked with many boards and has a strong background in finance, audit, risk management and compliance along with deep experience in leading large transformation programmes.
She has more than 30 years of experience in senior finance roles with several leading manufacturing and financial services companies in both the UK and in North America.
Jennifer sits on the advisory board of Manchester Business School and works with the University on a range of topics from student recruitment to building the curriculum.
Jennifer also chairs the North West Productivity Forum, part of the Productivity Institute, a government-funded body set up to bring business, universities, and the government together to research and set policy to improve productivity.
Leigh Wylie is Head of Internal Audit at Soteria Insurance Limited. She is a chartered accountant with experience in audit, risk management, assurance and finance having operated at a senior level in these fields across multiple roles. Leigh has many years’ experience in developing business and financial plans, with a thorough knowledge of corporate governance.
Leigh has a particular interest in customer experience and outcomes, including understanding and meeting customer needs, removing barriers, and looking after vulnerable customers. She has a passion to deliver for communities and improve quality of life for individuals.
Professor Clive Deadman, Group Chair at Halton Housing said: “We are delighted to welcome Jennifer and Leigh to Halton Housing. Their skills and experience, particularly from outside of the sector will further strengthen the organisation’s governance and financial foundations whilst bringing a fresh perspective to decision making.”
Jennifer and Leigh’s appointments will be formally ratified at Halton Housing’s AGM in September.
