Our colleague development programme, previously described as 'life-changing', has once again launched with the class of 2025 delegates taking their place.

Launched back in 2021, Thrive is our internal training and development programme. Developed in-house by our Organisational Development team, Thrive is a structured 8-month programme with over 40 hours of learning, reinforcing our commitment to investing in our people and developing talent within the organisation.

The programme covers a range of topics, including self-awareness and reflection, overcoming impostor syndrome, resilience, and understanding personal brand. Delegates also have the opportunity to hear from each member of Halton Housing’s Leadership Team about the organisation's current and future plans, as well as their own career journeys.

Delegates will learn project management skills by creating their own business improvement projects, getting approval from sponsors, and managing the projects from start to finish.

Feedback on the programme has been overwhelmingly positive, with previous delegates reporting that the programme has changed how they view themselves and increased their confidence in trying new things and pursuing opportunities that arise. Additionally, they are building their networking skills and learning how the organisation operates, to better understand the challenges and how decisions are made.

Kathryn Davies, Organisational Development Officer, said: “Halton Housing is dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous learning and enhancing colleague engagement. We strive to create an environment where colleagues feel valued and are encouraged to reach their full potential. Thrive is designed to achieve these goals. It builds on the success of our Leadership Matters Programme, which was introduced earlier this year and has already proven to be highly beneficial for our 70 managers across the organisation.”

We wish the class of 2025 the best of luck as they embark on this transformative journey with the Thrive programme.

The class of 2025 will complete the course in November this year.
