Last Friday was such a rewarding afternoon for our colleagues and a real highlight of the 'Spruce Up Your Streets' program so far. The event also fits in with our aim to improve open and green spaces in the Upton area, as part of Destination Upton.

The customers of Arden contacted us a few months ago asking permission to use the space and were delighted not only that permission was granted but that Halton Housing were able to provide some items and labour to kick-start their project. The 2 customers who volunteered their time on the day were ecstatic that so many Halton Housing staff had volunteered their work time to help out, and that's really what makes 'Spruce Up Your Streets' so worthwhile.

Our team put in a really hard graft to provide the residents of Arden with two patches for planting, 4 raised planters, a water butt, and a compost bin.
