On Saturday 6th July, Social Impact and Engagement Officers, Georgina and Amy attended Pride In Halton: Colours of Love at Norton Priory, after pledging our support for the event with a £1000 donation.

Organised by Pride in Halton CIC, the day started off with a warm welcome from Hayley Smith, Chief Executive and Founder of Pride in Halton, a welcoming and family-friendly event to celebrate and embrace Halton’s diversity.

The Mayor of Halton Cllr Kevan Wainwright and the Mayoress Mrs Andrea Wainwright then opened the event and the fun packed day began!

The well-attended event was a fantastic celebration of community and inclusivity in the Halton area and it was great to see so many people getting involved and having a great time.

There were things for all of the family including games and tombola, stalls from local businesses, fundraising activities as well as performances from local groups Place For Us and The H'arts and Voices!.

Our Social Impact and Engagement Officers were also on hand to speak with event-goers - a big thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat, and for those who had a go at designing their own flag at the stand, can you spot yours on the pictures below?

We are proud to have supported the event and have the pleasure of attending. If you weren't able to pop along to the event this year, make sure you keep a look out for the event next year - we'll hopefully see you there!

More information about the day and next years’ event can be found over on the Pride in Halton Facebook Page Facebook
