It's Gold Again for Halton Housing
We are delighted to have been awarded a ‘We invest in people, Gold accreditation’ by Investors in People following a recent rigorous assessment. This Gold accreditation demonstrates not only that we have policies to give our people the rightful place they deserve in the organisation; but more than that, it means everyone – from Chief Executive to Apprentice takes ownership for making them come to life.
Only 17% of our accredited organisations achieve Gold so we are proud to be in such fine company.
According to our people, Halton Housing is a great place to work with 86% of colleagues saying they would recommend us as an employer in our most recent survey. We're different. Intentionally different. Our working environment is open and forward-thinking. We have an agile culture, and our people are encouraged to challenge the norm - and have fun!
We also have strong values and key behaviours which are the hallmark of our colleagues. Our ways of working have had to change for many during the past pandemic year, and our people have risen to the challenge and continued to deliver services with some outstanding results.
Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Halton Housing. Gold accreditation on We invest in people is a fantastic effort for any organisation, and places Halton Housing alongside a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”
Commenting on the award, Natalie O'Hara, Director of People at Halton Housing, said: “I could not be prouder to have maintained our Gold accreditation status, especially in light of the circumstances of the past year. We have been able to deliver a leadership training programme, organisational development initiatives, and crucially, give priority to the health and wellbeing of colleagues.”
We believe that the success of our organisation begins and ends with people. If we make work better for everyone, we have stronger, healthier and happier people.
