Halton Housing Proudly Sponsors "Actually, She Can!" Event

Halton Housing was delighted to sponsor the "Actually, She Can!" event held on Thursday 27th February, an inspiring day dedicated to personal growth and professional development for women in the workplace. This event held at The Heath Business and Technical Park, Runcorn aims to provide women with the tools, resources, and motivation needed to excel in their careers and personal lives.
The empowering event featured a series of workshops, keynote speakers, and networking opportunities designed to inspire and equip women with the skills to achieve their goals.
Two of our Halton Housing colleagues, Amy and Kelly who were invited to attend the event left feeling motivated and ready to take on new challenges in their own professional journeys having already successfully completed Halton Housing’s own professional development programme, Thrive.
Speaking about the event Amy Harrison, Social Impact and Engagement said:
“ It was a privilege to attend the 'Actually, She Can!' event. Being surrounded by so many inspiring women who are dedicated to their personal and professional growth was so inspiring. I am proud of my journey at Halton Housing and this event has given me even more confidence to pursue my goals."
Neighbourhood Allocations Performance Officer, Kelly Bounds, also expressed her enthusiasm: "The 'Actually, She Can!' event was a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow. It was empowering to hear from successful women and to share our experiences. I am grateful for the support from Halton Housing in my career progression and this event has further fuelled my ambition."
Jess Lawson, Aftercare Manager for Open Door by Halton Housing, also attended the event with partners Seddon and came away from the event feeling equally inspired:
"The Actually, She Can event was incredibly inspiring. The stories shared were not only uplifting but also a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we support and believe in each other."
Halton Housing is committed to supporting initiatives that promote diversity, inclusion, and the empowerment of women in the workplace. All proceeds from the event day will go to helping young female talent in the Halton Borough to access higher education and vocational apprenticeships. By sponsoring events like "Actually, She Can!", Halton Housing continues to demonstrate its dedication to investing in our local community and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
As we approach International Women's Day on March 8th, we are looking forward to celebrating our fabulous women once again. We are excited to recognise their achievements and continue supporting their growth and success.
