As part of our Destination Grange programme, we’re proud to have recently provided funding to Power in Partnership (PIP) in Grangeway Community Centre for the purchase of activity equipment for use by the local community. The welcome funding helped purchase skipping ropes, bibs, footballs, a rounders set, hula hoops, board games and much more.

Through additional funding we also supported the delivery of two healthy eating and cookery sessions for young people in the area.

As part of our commitment to improving people’s lives, we believe having a safe, well-maintained home in a neighbourhood to be proud of is fundamental. Our Destination programmes are key to delivering on this ambition.

We’ve a longstanding partnership with Power in Partnership which was set up by CEO Claire Bradbury in 2011. Claire's passion is to nurture young people from the most socially disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them to gain skills and qualifications to improve their life opportunities.

About the funding, Claire said: "PIP would like to thank Halton Housing for their Contribution to Grangeway Youth Club. The recent funding has been used to buy equipment for fun activities so that the young people are engaged in physical activities, impacting on social isolation and healthy lifestyles positively. In addition as part of this funding we’ve been able to cook healthy teas together at PIP which included us researching recipes together, cooking together and eating together. These activities have promoted group work, healthy lifestyles, improved communication and confidence."
