Destination Upton launches with an actioned packed fun day
Over 100 people attended an action-packed fun day to mark the launch of Destination Upton on Saturday 23rd September in Upton Community Centre.
There were accessible activities for all ages including, climbing wall, bouncy castle, badge making, face painting, craft table and tombola.
The Mayor and Consort of Halton, Councillor Val Hill and Councillor Stan Hill also attended.
The fun day was also an opportunity for residents to find out more about the activities and events which regularly take place at the centre.
Georgina Crank, Social Impact and Engagement Officer said: “The event was a great way to bring locals together to not only enjoy lots of free activities, but also to learn more about what Halton Housing have planned for Destination Upton, and to meet some of the partners we will be working with over the next year.”
We would also like to pay a special thank you to our partners who supported the event including VIBE, Digital Arts Box, Halton Borough Council waste management team, Upton Childrens Centre and HELPS.
Through our Destination Upton programme, we aim to create lasting improvements, bringing communities together, and create opportunities for customers.
A free youth club will be taking place during the autumn half term at Upton Community Centre. Find out more here.
