We have recently welcomed five new joiners to our Homes team.

The new recruits bring a wealth of talent and experience and will boost our already committed team of joiners on day-to-day repairs of customers’ homes across Widnes and Runcorn.

Earlier this year, a recruitment campaign was launched to find new joiners with two successful open days held at our head office, Waterfront Point in Widnes.

Welcoming the new joiners, Alan Baylis, Maintenance Manager said: “It’s great to have the new joiners on board. Bolstering our joinery resource means we can meet an ever-growing demand for joinery repairs, and respond positively to customer feedback. They are all settling well into their new role and we wish them a long and successful career with us here at Halton Housing,”

After his first few weeks, Sean McGovern, one of our new joiners said “I've had a great time meeting everyone, all the Maintenance Technicians have been super helpful as I am new to social housing. I've enjoyed getting out and about around the borough and learning more about what the job involves. I'm glad to be part of the team!”
